What to Expect
When we come together to worship, we use psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to glorify God and encourage and teach one another (Colossians 3:16).
Our normal order of service is:
-Welcome, Announcements
-Call To Worship, Scripture
-Pastoral Prayer
-Worship in Song
-Expository Preaching (currently John 3)
-Worship in Song
-Dismissal
The songs we choose are intentional. We want to worship in Spirit and truth, according to the Word of God! We want every song to draw our gaze to how the Bible reveals to us the risen Savior, which means what we sing will not be focused on ourselves, but the glory of God and the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Sermons are expositional and sequential, meaning we work our way through a book of the Bible, presenting to the congregation the Spirit-inspired intent of each passage. Priorities of expositional and sequential preaching include highlighting the need and provision of Christ, focusing on context, and emphasizing the clear eternal principles found in the passage and how they lead to application for all of life, for the glory of God.

Do I need to dress up?
We have people who dress in different styles, and that is normal for us. However, we also want to follow what the Word says to help each other worship by not intentionally drawing attention to ourselves (1 Timothy 2:8-10).

What do you offer for my kids?
Rainbow Baptist Church takes the charge of God seriously for the responsibility parents have to teach their children of the Gospel of Christ:
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
"4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."
Ephesians 6:4
"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
With these passages in mind, RBC values parents having their children in worship to see and experience their parents' faith and worship in action.
We VALUE the noise, busyness, and life of children in our church.
We know some seasons and days are especially rambunctious! We have space both in our foyer and nursery rooms down the hall.

Where do I park?
We have a generous parking area with special Handicap Parking.. Follow the signs to navigate around the "right" of our building for that special parking.
You may enter through the front porch/portico in the center of our main facility. If you park in the secondary handicap area, you may enter through the large glass entrance in the "corner" of that parking area.
